Godrej decides to change !
...After a period of complete hibernation wherein customer had almost forgotten the brand , yes the brand that gave us the Godrej Puf , the legendary Godrej Storwel ... Godrej finally seems to have woken up , in all sense it is one of the legendary brands that has withstood time , and cuts across product categories ,so what has kicked this sudden awakening , obviously the left behind syndrome , and complete loss of relevance in spite of it being clearly strongly entrenched as a various categories , like say hair dye , office furniture , security equipment , locks ,plus not being among the brands speaking to current set of consumers , who are more youthful in numbers .
so out comes the new logo to start with , Dissecting the logo, citrus green is about expression, representing growth, harmony with nature and renewed life. Sky blue embodies progression – big ideas, blue sky thinking, technology and innovation. Ruby red reflects cherished experiences – passion, indulgence, energy and dynamism.
Work done by the international brand consultancy Interbrand , after some initial work by Shining of Bangalore , we are told , which fell off .
Also inside news is that there is a fund over drive they are getting into shortly , whatever it is about , the elephant wants to dance finally !
It remains to be seen how Godrej goes abt operationalising this change on the ground , which we are sure they will have a tough time ,and how it builds a renewed connect with the new consumers ! watch this blog for more !
